It has been ten years this year since Dan and Gina Roddy, in partnership with Dan’s parents Joe and Michelle, took the reigns of the local GIO Agency from long term owner’s Barrie and Laine Burnett.
The GIO brand has been long standing presence in the local community, servicing clients for all their personal insurance needs, in excess of thirty years. Car, CTP, Home, Caravan, Boat, Strata and Motorcycle insurance products are all sold and serviced by the GIO Tumut Agency.
As the previous GIO Commercial Insurance Manager, Dan migrated the Tumut Agency’s commercial business across to a new Advisor model in 2014 in order to service a broader range of commercial clients.
This initial move, has now sown the seeds for a further extension of the value proposition Dan can now add to existing and new clients alike.
With the recent establishment of Roddy Insurance Solutions Pty Ltd (RIS), and placement services as an Authorised Representative of Resilium Insurance Broking Pty Ltd, Dan can tap into a broader range of insurance solutions in the market place, to suit the individual needs of the client.
The rationale was quite simple, according to Dan;
“It was all about a holistic offering. To act directly for my clients in a broader capacity was for me, was where we needed to move to”.
